Reports: Coby Mayo, Orioles' top INF prospect, potentially on cusp of call up

Infielder Coby Mayo, ranked by MLB Pipeline as the No. 12 prospect in baseball, was en route to Baltimore on Saturday but has yet to be called up by the Orioles, multiple outlets reported.
He should be on hand at Camden Yards Saturday night as the Orioles host the Kansas City Royals in the second game of a three-game series.
The Orioles scratched starting third baseman Ramon Urias from the lineup on Friday due to right hamstring soreness. Mayo's presence with the Orioles could be an insurance policy in case Urias needs to go on the injured list.
The 23-yer-old Mayo, who plays first base and third base, was selected by the Orioles in the fourth round of the 2020 MLB Draft. This season at Triple-A Norfolk, he is batting .252 with seven doubles, two triples, six home runs and 22 RBIs. He has an OPS of .870.
Mayo had a 17-game stint in the majors last season but hit only .098 (4-for-41) with four runs. He didn't drive in any runs, walked four times and struck out 22.
